Love my kitty but honestly $100 for a stray is wild then on top of that forcing you to have a vet recommendation is insane. It should never be cheaper to buy from a cat farm than adopt one from somewhere that’s trying to help animals. Not to mention the older lady is so rude, I asked her what heartworm medication I should give my kitty and she treated me like an idiot. It was a question and I’m new to having kitties, try not to be a jerk lady.

We adopted "Uncle Wally", now Wallie, 4 weeks ago. Absolutely the very BEST adoption process we ever went through. Lisa and the staff are so dedicated to the animals that it's truly incredible to see they put the animals welfare first and foremost. Thank you for everything.

I went in and everyone was so nice. We called ahead to look at a specific animal. But you need a “vet reference” where they call the vet of someone you know and if they’re not up to date on THEIR animals, they don’t allow you to adopt. It’s so sad that some of these animals could have amazing homes but because I dont Have any animals already someone else’s care for their own cost me mine. This sweet baby bonded with my CHILD. It doesn’t seem to me like they actually want good homes because instead of bringing her home to a comfy bed tonight she’ll sleep in a cage instead. Sad. (Also your response says “as you were told before coming with your child” I was told I did not need one before coming for this animal. Let’s not lie on google.

I can't even give this place a single star. The response I received to my application felt like a personal attack and extremely unprofessional. My family had rescued an abandoned dog many years ago from severe neglect and almost death. The amount of medical care and love that we gave to save this dog's last remaining years is incomprehensible. I referenced this sweet pup in the application because it asks for history of living and deceased pets. However, because she wasn't given heartworm medication, we were denied adoption of a homeless pup in need from this agency, and made to feel like abusive owners to boot in their reply. We were first time dog owners and had the vet recommended heartworm medication in the 100 times we were there, we would have given it to her. This place should be ashamed of themselves for denying people love and companionship, and instead provide the useful information to the adoption family on what a dog needs so they can provide the best life possible for their pet. I couldn't be more heartbroken and disgusted at the same time.

Adopted our sassy girl from Laurens County over two years ago. They did an amazing job rescuing her mom and making sure her pups were healthy and cared for prior to adoption. They take great care of their animals for such a small space and I imagine limited resources. The staff really put their heart and soul into helping animals. I can't thank them enough for this great addition to our family.

Just wanted to say thank you to the staff and volunteers at Laurens Humane! Lady Madonna (now named Darla) has been a ray of sunshine during this troubling time. We are so thankful we were able to adopt her before the world shut down! Tips for those potentially wanting to adopt from here: call often even if nobody answers the phone (there are not many people working here and they're busy), email if you can't get in touch via phone. Lisa does a great job vetting potential families so just forget it if you're not an honest adopter. This facility is in a lower income area, which we are used to, but some people may not be. They are well deserving of your donations and higher than usual donation fees. $150 is more than I have ever paid for an adoption but Darla is well worth it. Remember the fees are for maintaining the facility and helping other animals! Btw Laurens Humane, we believe Darla is a Treeing Tennessee Brindle hound dog not a corgie mix 😬 She's such an awesome puppy!!

They don't take in lost or found puppies or dogs. And they have nothing to do with cats. All they want to do is fine people (1100$) whose dog may have gotten loose. If they want to get rid of the over flow they need to reduce the adoption prices...

Editing to add: I deleted my review because I noticed I was on my work account. You want to reply all snarky when I’m reality, your worker was in the wrong. That was proven when you called my friend back and told her there was a mistake and …
